Career in Aeronautical Engineering in India

Engineers are classified as civil, mechanical, electrical and aeronautical. Aeronautical engineering is concerned with the design, construction, development, testing and manufacturing of aircraft, missiles and spacecrafts. Aeronautical engineers specialize in the maintenance of instruments, electrical and electronic equipments, navigation, radar and radio communication. Flight engineers make preflight inspections and are responsible for the efficient performance of the aircraft during the flight. Aeronautical engineers carry out routine maintenance on the ground during aircraft overhauling at airports and maintenance and repair work in hangers and workshops. They have to complete the work at a great speed but with accuracy as it involves safety of the aircraft and passengers.
